According to the American Heart Association, you need to limit your total fat intake to no more than 56-78 grams a day – including no more than 16 grams of saturated fat, and less than two grams of trans fat (for a 2000 calories diet).
 
One of the biggest problems with Americans these days is that they are consuming way too many fat calories. Cutting down on fat intake will assist in becoming healthier by eating better and losing weight. Don’t forget, you need to eat some fat just not a lot.
