Burning calories is commonly referred to as Caloric Expenditure. In this lesson we are going to examine how to calculate caloric expenditure. Thus, answering the question “How many Calories should I burn”.
 
Weight loss or weight gain is the biggest factor in determining how many calories to burn (Caloric Expenditure).

  • Weight Loss
    • When trying to lose weight, you want to burn more calories than you consume.
  • Weight Gain
    • When trying to gain weight, you want to burn fewer calories than you consume.
